Planning Information and Charges

Geo-Ed's Presentation Fee per student = $6.00 +GST

For this fee Geo-Ed will:

• Present three Teacher/Geologist–led 80 minute sessions per day for pairs of classes, with plenty of hands -on -time for the students interacting with Geo-Ed's resources. 
• Provide each class with a pre-visit introductory discovery task.
• Provide class teachers with suggested Post- visit follow-up activities to further foster the visit -aroused interest of the students.
• Cater for two like- year level classes such as Yr 1 & Yr 1/2.
• Offer to make a "free" Presentation to Parents, when a school contracts Geo-Ed's services for two or more days.

Please Note:

To provide Geo-Ed's infrastructure (meet costs of all preparation, worksheets, travelling, setting up, insurances, resources & teacher) for the above:

• Each session requires a minimum of 45 students and a maximum of 64 students.
• Geo-Ed needs to present to a minimum of 120 students over 3 sessions.

Our Visit Requirements

• Venue
• Comfortable weather proof location with sole use rights for the visit days: such as a hall, library, double classroom, or multi- purpose room.
• Suitable size for two classes & some displays.
•  White & Display boards available.
• Student tables for displays available

Class teachers (2) plus either
Education Assistants (when available) or
Parents or 
Capable Senior Students from Years 6 & 7 for Years 1 to 5 Sessions.
These students could be from Buddy Classes if you have Buddy Classes operating in your school.
