Ask the Geo-Ed Geologist

As a component of the Pre-Visit Activity  teachers are asked to brainstorm and discuss geological concepts, ideas and questions with their students so that they can develop their own “class-specific” question that they would like to be answered in detail by the Geo-Ed Geologist/Presenter on the day of the presentation. The “Ask the Geologistquestion can come from any area of geology and does not need to be limited to the topic of the presentation.

Previous examples of “Ask the Geologist’ questions were:

·         How is gold extracted from rocks?

·         How can we find fossils around Perth?

·         What is the most abundant rock in Western Australia?

·         How do Geologists find Rocks?

Please submit your focus question to Geo-Ed at least two (2) weeks prior to the Geo-Ed visit to enable the Geo-Ed team to properly research and answer your specific question. The “Ask the Geologist” question may be submitted to the Geo-Ed Geologist /Presenter as per her instructions or via the Geo-Ed contact form.
